Welcome to the 2026 National Poultry survey, a collaborative effort between The Livestock Conservancy and the American Poultry Association. Conducting a census on poultry is particularly challenging because unlike many livestock breeds, there is no registry process for birds that could be used to indicate breeding population activity. This necessitates the need to conduct a targeted and comprehensive survey to an audience of poultry keepers that actively breed their birds. This is no small task and is the most complex census work we do. We truly appreciate your participation! Be assured that your personal information will not be shared unless you indicate you want to be known as a source for the breed(s) you work with.
