Belarus Protest Participant Survey

We are conducting a survey of Belarusian participants (aged 18 years and older) residing in Belarus or abroad, who have participated/ are participating in the ongoing protests that began following the Presidential Elections of August 9, 2020.

The survey seeks to understand what Belarusian people think about their life, politics, and other important challenges facing Belarus. Specifically, we are interested to hear about why you decided to protest, and better understand your experiences of protest - be it at home in Belarus or abroad.

We are a research team part of the MOBILISE project. This project is funded by national science foundations under the Open Research Area Funding Scheme (www.mobiliseproject.com/information-about-the-mobilise-project-for-protest-surveys).

Your answers will remain fully anonymous and confidential. The data is collected and stored fully in accordance with EU GDPR and German law. We do not collect any personally identifiable information.

Reports on the study will only mention general patterns, not individual responses. Participation in the study is completely voluntary. Participation takes about fifteen minutes. We are very interested to your frank answers. If you do not want to answer a question, you can move on to the next one. You are free to stop your participation at any time.

Our team worked quickly to translate this survey into Belarusian. We apologize if there are any errors - please do let us know!  Thank you for your help and cooperation.
