GCP Member Survey: International Trade

International trade is identified in the GCP Public Policy Agenda as an emerging issue. Federal trade policies have a significant impact on Ohio companies and how they do business with the rest of the world.

The Trump Administration announced last year that it intended to renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) between the United States, Canada and Mexico. Likewise, President Trump has made recent decisions to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum imported products as well as Chinese imports.
