Youth Leader Interest

Thank you for sharing more about your child's interest in returning to our youth leader program at our classic Monkey Business Camps. Youth Leaders play such a vital role at camp, assisting the staff in creating the magic, fun and safety our camp is known for!

This survey is for returning youth leaders only - if your child is new to being a youth leader with us (even if they have been a camper), please fill out this survey instead.

Counselors in Training (CIT): Ages 11+
Junior Counselors (JC): ages 14+ who have been CITs, received positive feedback, and are ready for more responsibility. Sometimes 14 year olds remain in the CIT role to gain more experience and skills. Older CITs may be offered discounted pricing, especially if they have a lot of experience at this and other camps.

Camp Hours: 8:25-4:35pm, with mid day break

Fees for Camp-there are fees for this program. Sliding Scale Tier Choices: Three tiers offered, and you choose during registration your tier, based on your family’s financial resources at this time. Older CITs may be offered JC pricing, especially if they have a lot of experience at camp. Payment plans and limited scholarships available.

For full details including camp hours and pricing, see camp webpage and youth leader details are at the bottom of that page.

Question Title

* 1. Parent/Guardian Name

Question Title

* 2. Parent/Guardian email address

Question Title

* 3. Name, date of birth and gender identity of potential youth leader. For example, Peter, 6.2.2008, non-binary, uses they/them pronouns.

Question Title

* 4. Are you interested in your child being a CIT or a JC?

Question Title

* 6. Which camp(s) do you want to register for? Choose all that apply. If you are unsure about all now, e-mail office@monkeybusinesscamp.com later with any updates.

Question Title

* 7. I can commit that my child will attend all dates of camp (they are only on weekdays) if accepted, and will show up on time daily at 8:25 and stay until the end of each day at 4:35 (note, if coming with sibling, it is okay for them both to come 8:30 and leave 4:30).  If we do Winter Camp Jan 2-5 week, hours will be shorter, but similar commitment to entire period required. I will schedule appointments or vacation time after camp hours or on weekends.  Of course, for sickness, they should stay home.

Question Title

* 8. I understand that my child, as a youth leader does not have flexible arrival or pick up times, like campers do. The staff need their assistance at the start and end of the day.

Question Title

* 9. I understand part of the orientation to camp is for my child and myself to read youth leader handbook to help us orient to camp and the youth leader role.  If my child did not attend camp during summer 2023, I will also make sure they fill out a review question survey linked off the youth leader handbook 1st page by the 1st of the month before the camp program.

Question Title

* 10. Older CITs (usually 13+) may be offered mid-tier JC pricing, especially if they have a lot of experience as a youth leader at our camp (or other camps or doing child care/babysitting for groups of kids). Would you like to request that?

If your child does not qualify for Older CIT pricing but you still need financial assistance, please see more details about how to apply, whether you are new to financial aid or if you have received before and would like to receive again this year.

Question Title

* 11. I have received financial aid over the past two years and would like to be considered on the same terms for this program. Click YES, if so.
There is no need to fill out a new financial aid survey unless your situation has changed and you have a different request. There are times when some sessions become full for financial aid.

Question Title

* 12. Anything else you would like to share that was not covered on this survey?

IMPORTANT NEXT STEP: Please email us at programs@monkeybusinesscamp.com so that we know that you submitted this and can review your request.  We will get back to you ASAP.
