Mr.Goodfish is a sustainable fish production and consumption programme that aims to recognise and connect seafood producers, processors, retailers and cooks who comply with scientifically sound sustainability standards. Through the programme’s digital platform and an app, consumers can access information on where to buy or consume seafood products considering species seasonality and access diverse recipes to support such endeavour.
The programme is well established in France, where its network accounts for 600 professionals and 714000 active users on the website since 2018.
The EU-funded initiative Mr.GoodfFish3.0 aims to scale up the programme in other countries by expanding the digital platform and the app with new scientific data on species seasonality from different sea basins, developing an awareness campaign for consumers, and testing concrete awareness-raising actions in three pilots (Cyprus in the Mediterranean Sea, France covering Atlantic Ocean, North Sea and Channel, and Norway in the Arctic Sea) and two replication sites (Bulgaria for the Danube River and Black Sea and Poland for the Baltic Sea).
As potential programme and product users, we encourage you to fill in this short survey to help us better understand the local seafood industry expectations, constraints and benefits for joining this type of a programme.
