What is this survey?
Children and Young People with Disability Australia (CYDA) is running this survey to find out how children and young people with disability, and their families or caregivers, have been impacted by the Australian Government’s Social Media Minimum Age (SMMA) Act.
The SMMA Act restricts children under 16 years of age in Australia from holding accounts on popular social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube and elsewhere. It came into effect on 10 December 2025.
We want to know how these restrictions have impacted you or your child.

This survey is for:
- Children and young people with disability aged 0 to 25
- Parents, family members or caregivers of children and young people with disability under 16
