In 2017, an Industry Forum event with cyber security firms was held in Cork to address key challenges for the sector and to explore how best key players might engage in the development of a national cyber security industry cluster. Based on feedback from this forum, the Cyber Ireland cluster organisation was established to address the sector's key objectives. One such objective is the enhancement of information security research, development and innovation between industry and academia in Ireland, with the goal of facilitating collaborative R&D between the two. The first stage in addressing this objective is to conduct a cyber security R&D landscape study, that will provide the state-of-the-art perspective on current cyber research activity in Ireland.

The results of this survey will be further used as the basis for a cyber research workshop organised by Cyber Ireland later this year.   The workshop will aim to bring together experts and researchers from industry and academia to discuss and promote a common understanding of how research can support innovation in the cyber domain.

We are therefore kindly asking you to support this objective by completing the survey and providing a brief description of your research area and its applications to cyber security.

Participants in the study will be informed of the survey results and may be invited to attend the aforementioned workshop.

Completion time is approximately 10 minutes. Thank you for your participation.
