Volunteer Interest Form - Resilient Family Adventure

THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST in joining the Resilient Family Adventure volunteer pool!

Resources For Resilience (RFR) is a small nonprofit based in Asheville, NC. We are focused on sharing practical tools and research-based resources that people of all ages can use to manage stress, prevent burnout, and build resilience in themselves and others.

Our trainings and professional development workshops help participants better understand how our brains and bodies respond to stress and teach them strategies to keep themselves, their loved ones, and the people they serve healthy and resilient.

Resilient Family Adventure (RFA) is one of our newest programs, and we have several already scheduled in our spring 2026 calendar. This fun, interactive event ranges from 2-4 hours and is designed to support young children and their families in learning resiliency skills through play. They are structured like a fall festival or obstacle course, with families moving through various activity stations that promote co-regulation and connection. Learn more about this program here, including a video from one of our past events.

We are looking for college students across WNC to support our events as a PAID Station Managers! This opportunity is perfect for students majoring in Education, Psychology, Public Health, Recreation, or on any similar career path aligned with health and human services or community engagement.

Each Station Manager receives a $100 stipend for participating, as well as a generous transportation stipend for those needing to travel outside their county of residence.

NEXT STEPS:
