OPWDD 5.07 Plan Survey

Thank you for participating in this survey. The feedback you provide will assist us in developing our position on the OPWDD 5.07 plan.

The 5.07 Plan (after section 5.07 of NYS mental hygiene law) will include the top priorities for OPWDD policy and planning efforts for the next several years. OPWDD intends to release the plan in Fall 2021, following stakeholder feedback and discussion. We ask that you please submit your response by Friday, June 18, to ensure we have time to synthesize the feedback and craft a response from The Arc New York.

The last time OPWDD engaged and published a 5.07 plan was between 2011 and 2016, but has been operating without such a guide since then. The Arc NY advocated for a new five year plan to commence through this year’s budget negotiations and succeeded, hence why we are asking for your crucially important input. This is one of our opportunities to shape the landscape of I/DD supports and services for the next five years and beyond.

OPWDD invites comments on the following focus areas or other areas that you believe should be part of the agency’s strategic plan or considered as one-time financial investments in the OPWDD service system.

Thank you for your input on the future of the support system for New Yorkers with I/DD.
