High School Bands and Traveling Guest Bands are invited to apply for the Portland Rose Festival parades and band program events. In addition to the popular PGE/SOLVE Starlight Parade and the prestigious Spirit Mountain Casino Grand Floral Parade, we also offer additional performance opportunities at CityFair—a flexible venue appropriate to breakout band, concert band, jazz band and choir performances, openings for which are available on multiple dates & times during the three weeks of the Rose Festival.

Important reminders:
  • Please double-check your school’s calendar to make sure you do not have any conflicts with event dates.
  • Register your band for any event for which you wish to be considered, regardless of your previous year’s scores.
  • Complete your application by November 22, 2019 for all 2020 Rose Festival band events. (Traveling Guest Bands may apply for specific years beyond 2020 - see below.)
Invitations to Rose Festival events will be issued after winter break. To avoid any misunderstandings, please do not publicize your participation in an event to parents or students until invitations have been issued.
