New Trier is considering a new bell schedule for the 2021-2022 school year. We want a schedule that reduces student and staff stress, provides similar course taking options, and provides time for professional collaboration and student opportunities.

We are examining three schedules:
  • the traditional 9-period day where each class is 40 minutes
  • a rotating 8-period block in which half the classes meet each day generally for 80 minutes
  • a blended block in which all classes meet three days a week, and on the other two days half the classes meet for extended learning opportunities
This survey will gather your priorities and preferences for next year's schedule. After gathering input on your general priorities, each schedule is introduced with a 90 second video before asking the questions about that schedule.

At the end of the survey is a question asking for how the schedules match your overall priorities and preferences as well as a free response question for you to provide additional feedback that you feel was not addressed in the survey.

Thank you for your time and input.
