We are undertaking a study as part of a SEDA (Staff and Educational Development Association) legacy grant to better understand the identities and locations of individuals engaged in academic development. We are using the term ‘academic development’ broadly to encompass a range of activities that involve the support, research and/or enhancement of learning and teaching in HE.

We are grateful for your time and input. We have designed this survey to take as little of your time as possible. The first section will ask you some background questions, so that we can contextualize your responses. The rest of the survey will then adapt itself to your answers, so that it takes no more time than needed.

The report from this survey will be available on the SEDA website; the findings will also be used for research. We will not share your data and we will store all data securely and anonymously. Findings will be reported in an anonymised form, and where we use responses to open questions, we will not link these to individuals. The project has received ethics approval from the Institute of Education, University of London.
