The purpose of this consultation is to understand your experience and/or knowledge of diverse communities and how we can improve access to culturally responsive mental health services/support.
This will inform a discussion paper that expresses the views of service providers, policy makers and individuals with lived experience.
All information provided here will be deidentified.
Your permission will be sought should ECCV wish to publish a case study and/or use specific quotes.
This survey should take about 45 min of your time.

Here are some prompts to consider:
·       How many years have you been working with multicultural communities/diverse communities? Are there specific communities you support?

·       What type of support / information do they seek? Can you give me an example/examples of the common types of support or information requested?

·       On average, what’s the percentage of multicultural and diverse consumers seeking support compared to mainstream Australians?

·       In your experience, does diverse communities seek ongoing support? Is there lack of engagement by diverse communities? Why do you think this is the case? What would improve engagement for diverse communities?

·       What do you believe are the most common challenges for diverse communities in accessing mental health services?

·       (If relevant) What does your organisation have in place that enables it to respond to the mental health service needs of multicultural communities? How does your organisation monitor or assess service provision and resource development?

·       How can organisations ensure that models of care do not stereotype and include cultural consideration for multicultural consumers?

·       Does your organisation / Do you have any examples of systems or processes that enable culturally safe and responsive service provision? (Can you share an example of best practice?)

·       We are presuming there are staff recruitment and retention challenges. What are your thoughts on this?  What are the main factors that impact recruitment and retention? How can this be addressed?
