Aloha, Kauaʻi resident,
My name is Brittany Lyte and I’m a journalist who’s been telling stories from Kauaʻi for the last decade. I write for Honolulu Civil Beat, a nonprofit online news publication, and we need your help.
As you probably know, the news business is rapidly changing and evolving. We must change with it, and we want to make our work at Civil Beat as useful and important to you and your community as possible. To do that, we need to learn more about what you think about local news on our island.
Civil Beat is conducting a study to better understand if Kauaʻi residents like you have access to the news and information you need to navigate life on the Garden Isle. We know people have interests in different topics and issues, and everyone has their own preferences for how they want to receive information. This survey will help us identify what might be missing — that is, any gaps in the kind of information you want — to help us do a better job of serving you.
This survey is structured so that your responses and comments will be anonymous, unless you choose to provide your information for follow-up conversations with members of the Civil Beat team.
Thank you for providing your valuable time and insights.
With aloha,
Brittany Lyte
