When fighting monsters, even if a character is at max level, the character still accumulates XP points. They are unable to use them at a trainer because of the level cap. Previously, when a level cap has been raised, we have deleted all players' "stored" XP. This prevents characters from immediately levelling, potentially to max again, as soon as the cap is raised.

We do this for three reasons. 1) It means players get the reward of experiencing new content when it comes out, and don't just skip it. 2) It ensures an equal footing between characters in any story content that accompanies it. 3) From a storyline point of view, a max level can keep themselves in peak condition by fighting monsters at top level. It would stand to reason though that they wouldn't just be able to jump to an ability level where they can deal with top level threats easily, without having to train.

However, we recognise that this may be frustrating to players who have continued to train their characters at max level - and especially to those players whose characters are not yet at max level, and who then lose all their progress to the next level. With that in mind, the Admin team has discussed this at length and put together some options. I would like to gauge players' opinions on this before making a decision on how to manage the next level cap change.

If you could fill in this survey, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time!
