With cautious optimism the Olympia Downtown Alliance is making tentative plans for a 2021 summer concert series. The talent selection committee is looking to schedule several events for what should be our 42nd (41 did not happen due to the pandemic) annual Music in the Park Series. The series typically attracts from 600 to several thousand per show. Sound is provided in most cases. While we don't have a large budget, selected artists will be offered a fee for their services. Local performers are encouraged to apply.
Performance times are 7:00 p.m. - 8:15 p.m., Wednesdays July and/or August at Sylvester Park, in the heart of downtown Olympia. Sound provided by Pacific Stage. Sound checks to be completed by 6:15 p.m. We are also tentatively planning two performances at the Port Plaza. Dates to be determined.
Submissions are due by March 24, 2021. Interested performers may submit online. Bands will be reviewed by a talent selection committee and selected bands will be notified as soon as bookings can be made.
