Please join us for a free MICU Financial Aid Working Group meeting on April 16, 2019 10:00am-2:00pm, held at the MICU offices in Lansing (120 N Washington Square, Suite 950). The Financial Aid Working Group was established to allow aid administrators from MICU member institutions to gather for professional development, networking, and to share best practices.
During our gathering on April 16 we will:
· Meet with staff from the Michigan Department of Treasury/Student Scholarships and Grants to hear about MiSSG and program updates.
· Hear from a MSFAA representative on discussions happening at the independent sector meetings and an overview of the most recent conference for those who did not attend.
· Find out what resources are available from to assist with financial education and default management.
· We are working to secure a national presenter to provide a federal student aid update and Q & A via video conference. Stay tuned!
· Discuss aid reporting requirements, have a networking lunch, a private roundtable discussion, and more!
This is a great opportunity to meet with and network with your colleagues from other MICU member institutions. The Working Group is for Aid Directors; however, if the Aid Director is not available please send another representative from your aid office.
