What is the SUSC Ways & Means Fund?
SUSC believes every player should have the opportunity to participate in soccer and enjoy the many benefits the sport provides, regardless of financial circumstances. To support this commitment, SUSC has established the Ways & Means Fund to assist with eligible costs that are not covered by third-party funding programs such as KidSport, Jumpstart, or other financial assistance organizations.
The Ways & Means Committee reviews applications from players and families experiencing financial barriers to participation. Each application is assessed individually and confidentially. Based on the circumstances, the Committee may approve full or partial assistance toward registration and/or team fees.
The Committee reports only the number of applications reviewed and the outcomes to the SUSC Board. All personal and financial information remains strictly confidential and is not shared outside of the Committee.
Procedure for the Ways & Means committee:
1. Acknowledgement of request
2. Review the request and notify the applicant of the decision within 10 days.
3. Notify the family of the decision
4.Apply the approved funding to the family's registration account, where applicable.
5. Provide Board an update on the total amount granted by Ways & Means each season
Failure to complete the application shall result in ineligibility, and false information shall result in disqualification and ineligibility of application
