Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training that teaches people how to identify, understand and respond to signs and symptoms of a mental health or substance use challenge in adults ages 18 and over. 

Class Dates: 
  • Class 1: September 24, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 01:30 pm EST
  • Class 2: October 1, 2024 @ 10:00 am - 01:30 pm EST

What it covers: 
  • Common signs and symptoms of mental health challenges.
  • Common signs and symptoms of substance use challenges.
  • How to interact with a person in crisis.
  • How to connect a person with help.
  • Expanded content on trauma, substance use and self-care.
Certificate Requirements: 
  • Complete a 2-hour self-paced online course before September 24th.
  • Participate in both live virtual classes on September 24th and October 1st.

We understand that life can sometimes get in the way of attending scheduled courses. To maintain fairness and transparency in our operations, we have established the following cancellation policy:

1. Refunds for Missed Classes:
We regret to inform you that there will be no refunds for missed courses/individual classes. Once you have registered for a course, your enrollment is considered final, and we are unable to provide refunds for any classes you are unable to attend.

2. Rescheduling:
If you cannot attend the scheduled dates for a course you have registered for, you may request to reschedule to a future session of the same course, subject to availability. All requests for rescheduling must be submitted 72 hours before the scheduled course begins. Please contact info@nationaleap.com to discuss rescheduling options.

3. Cancellations by the Organizer:
We require 5 participants to run this course, in the unlikely event that we must cancel a course/ class session, you will be notified promptly, and a refund or rescheduling option will be provided to you, at your discretion.

4. Transferability:
If you are unable to attend a course but have a colleague or friend who can take your place, you may transfer your registration to them. Please inform us in advance about this change to update our records.

5. Absence/No-Show Policy:
We encourage all registered participants to attend the courses they sign up for. Failure to attend an entire course/ individual class without prior notice is considered a "no-show." No refunds or rescheduling options will be available for participants who do not attend the entire course/individual class.
