Sophie Le

Sophie Le is a Senior Associate at NERA Economic Consulting. She is pursuing her Master’s in Library and Information Science with San Jose State University. She was a mentor and Placement Committee member for the Southern California Association of Law Librarians (SCALL), she’s a council member for the Special Libraries Association (SLA) Workplace Preparedness and Response Advisory Council (PREP), and a member of SLA - Southern California Chapter (SLA-SCC). She hopes that in her role as President-Elect, can collaborate with other SLA community chapters and to create more learning and career developments opportunities for SLA-SCC members.

Sophie has recently relocated her primary residence to New York City, but routinely spends time in California. She will coordinate her responsibilities remotely and plans to attend in-person events when possible (once in-person events are able to be held again). 
The primary responsibility of the President-Elect is to coordinate the community's event planning, assist in the management and administration of the community, and fill-in for the President or assume their duties when necessary. The position of President-Elect is a one year term, followed by a one year term as the Community President and a one year term as Past-President, for a total of a 3 year commitment.
