Please fill out this survey to RSVP for the 2018 Welcome Week Service Day on September 1, 2018. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are all encouraged to attend this event.
The Welcome Week Service Day is one of the best ways to live out our University's mission: Mount St. Joseph University is a Catholic academic community grounded in the spiritual values and vision of its founders, the Sisters of Charity. The University educates its students through interdisciplinary liberal arts and professional curricula emphasizing values, integrity and social responsibility. Members of the Mount community embrace: -excellence in academic endeavors; -the integration of life and learning; -respect and concern for all persons; -diversity of cultures and beliefs; -service to others.
Sites include:
- Bayley
- Bethany House Services
- Brighton Center
- EarthConnection
- Habitat for Humanity
- Imago Earth Center

All placements will be made the morning of the event except for Habitat for Humanity because Habitat participants will begin their service earlier than the other groups. **Update: The Habitat placements have been filled.**
Please wear Mount clothes to the event, but be sure that the clothes you wear can get dirtied. Also, please wear closed-toe shoes to the event. The first 100 participants will receive a free Mount St. Joseph University Service Learning water bottle. All participants should arrive to the Seton Center lobby at 8:00AM for check in and a light breakfast. We will leave for our sites around 8:30AM, and transportation will be provided. Our service will conclude around 12:00PM, when we will return to MSJ. A lunch for participants will be provided upon returning to MSJ.
This event is coordinated by the University's Service Learning Office and the Interfaith club.
