About this opportunity:

COVID19 has challenged all South Australians. Uncertainty, confusion, loss of control and loneliness are feelings people have felt during this period. People in the lived/living experience community have navigated these feelings before, and through doing so have developed tips, tricks, tools and other wisdom that needs to be heard and can be used to shape better responses.

We are seeking people with lived/living experience of distress, mental health issues and/or psychosocial disability to participate in the Our Experiences through COVID ProjectWe want to check in with you and see how things are going, learn from your experiences and hear your ideas for how communities and services can better understand and address people's needs.

How people with lived/living experience can get involved:

We are seeking eight people with lived/living experience to be involved in this project. One-on-one conversations (45 minutes each) and two other sessions (4-hr and 2-h respectively) will be held online via Zoom throughout October. Participants will be remunerated $30 per hour for sharing their wisdom with us.

If you want to contribute to the project yet are unavailable for these sessions please complete the questions below anyway. There will be other ways for you to be involved that we can let you know about.

Expressions of Interest close mid-October and people will be notified soon after about next steps.

About the conversations and consolidation sessions:

One-on-one conversations will be held online via Zoom. They will focus on how COVID19 has impacted on you, your learning's from COVID19, what helped / didn't help during this period and ideas you have for how people can now be supported as life returns to our 'new normal'. We'll be taking action and designing ideas of support for the lived/living experience community impacted by COVID19.

One-on-one conversation sessions with LELAN's Peer Project Worker Sam will be held at various times on October 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th. Please book in a time via this link.

All participants will then come together for a 4-hour co-design session on October 30th, 10am-2pm. A 2-hour consolidation session will follow on November 13th 10am-12pm.

If this opportunity speaks to you, we invite you to respond to the questions below.
