Show Us What Makes You a Wildcat Mine Engineer!
The Lowell Institute for Mineral Resources and the Mining & Geological Engineering Department at the University of Arizona are excited to announce the 2020 photo contest, open to alumni of the Mining & Geological Engineering and Economic Geology programs.

Details 
A degree in Mining Engineering or Economic Geology unlocks a world of opportunities and career paths! From traveling the world to work in one-of-a-kind locations to developing the latest technological advances in the field, there’s so much graduates from our program get to achieve.

We are looking for photos that best capture the University of Arizona Mining & Geological Engineering alumni experience. We want to see where your career has taken you, some of the unique and exciting opportunities you’ve been a part of, and the things that make you love your job!

Photos may include landscapes, technology, equipment, objects, sites, projects, and people. We're looking for the most creative and interesting photos of UArizona Mine Engineers on the job showcasing what they love about their job and what they get to do.

Every photo will be accompanied by a short description with details on the photo.
 
Entry Criteria
·        The competition is open only to alumni of the Mining and Geological Engineering department and Economic Geology Program of the University of Arizona.
·        You may submit up to 5 (five) photo entries, however only one photo may win per person
·       All photos must be original work, taken by the entrants. No third party may own or control any materials the photo contains, and the photo must not infringe upon the trademark, copyright, moral rights, intellectual rights, or rights of privacy of any entity or person.
·        Images must be high-resolution (300+ dpi) JPEG or TIF images.
·        The following file name format is required: FirstName_LastName_ImageTitle.
·        All photographs must be accompanied by content descriptions, including the full names of all people pictured. 
·        By submitting any photo, contestants acknowledge they have proper permission from their employer, if necessary, to take and submit the photo(s).
 
Submission Deadline
Photos and descriptions must be submitted by midnight MST on Sunday, April 12, 2020.

Judging
A panel of five professionals from across the University will judge all photos for artistic expression, creativity, originality and quality. The top 5 photos will then be placed on social media or website for students or the public to vote. 

Winners will be announced in Late-April and via social media and on the MGE website. The winners of the photo contest will be contacted.

Photo Use
The Mining and Geological Engineering Department of the University of Arizona and the Lowell Institute for Mineral Resources gain all rights to photos entered in this contest, and contestants surrender all recourse. Photos submitted may be used for University marketing and promotional materials and purposes.
