To obtain a professional certificate Does not involve any kind of academic assessment.

To obtain a shorter-form credential / digital badge (also known as micro, alternative, short-term, professional practice credentials) UQ defines a shorter-form credential as learning that has rigorous academic assessment and therefore attracts credit which has international portability (e.g. accredited online courses). Shorter-form credentials are delivered over a shorter timeframe than UQ semesters, and could be conducted online or on campus depending on the requirements of the credential. Involves assessment of skills and knowledge and has additional costs compared to a professional certificate.
