Overview
The Social Planning Council of Peel is delivering a Canadian Heritage-funded Anti-Hate initiative focused on addressing racism, discrimination, and online hate through in-person workshops, training, and community engagement across Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon.
We are currently hiring for two positions:
1. Project Coordinator (Part-Time Contract)
Position Details
Duration: April 1, 2026 – March 31, 2027 (with possibility of renewal based on performance and funding)
Hours: 21.5 hours/week
Rate: $30/hour
Work Mode: In-person across Peel Region
Start Date: ASAP upon selection
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate in-person workshops and community activities
Coordinate in-person workshops and community activities
Support delivery of program components
Liaise with facilitators, partners, and participants
Administer surveys and support evaluation activities
Assist with reporting to Canadian Heritage
Maintain documentation, logistics, and scheduling
Support budget tracking and compliance
Liaise with facilitators, partners, and participants

Qualifications
Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
2–4 years of project coordination or community program experience
Strong organizational and communication skills
Experience working with diverse communities
Data collection and reporting experience is an asset

Facilitate group discussions in a safe and inclusive environment
Apply trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches
Support participant engagement and learning activities
Assist with in-person feedback and evaluation
Skills & Qualifications
Experience facilitating in-person workshops or group sessions
Strong communication and public speaking skills
Ability to manage diverse groups and sensitive discussions
Knowledge of anti-racism, anti-hate, or community safety work
Trauma-informed and culturally responsive approach
Strong interpersonal and conflict de-escalation skills
Working Conditions (Both Roles)
All programming is delivered in-person across Peel Region
Evening and weekend work may be required
Travel within Mississauga, Brampton, and Caledon required
