Metro EDGE 2023 Leadership Council Application

IMPORTANT: Leadership Council members must attend the retreat on Friday, October 28 from 10am-7:00pm.  

Please carefully read the Metro EDGE Organizational Plan and Structure for complete information about the program before completing this application. You must provide responses to the following questions for your application to be considered complete.

The Emerge Summit: 
The Emerge Summit is led by a Chair and is supported by a committee. The Emerge committee sets the vision, organizes, and executes on Metro EDGE's flagship one-day conference, the Emerge Summit.
Marketing/Communications:
The Marketing and Communications committee is led by two Co-Chairs and supported by a committee. The Marketing and Communications Chairs lead all communications, marketing and branding efforts for Metro EDGE, in partnership with the Metro Chamber Foundation team. 
Engage/Membership:
The Membership committee is led by a Chair and is supported by a committee. The Membership Chair ensures value with the Metro EDGE membership and that all members feel engaged and welcomed. 
Develop/Events/Programming:
The Develop committee is led by a Chair and is supported by a committee. The Develop Chair is responsible for collaborating with the other Leadership Council members to develop impactful programming for EDGE members. 
Empower/Community partnerships:
The Empower committee is led by a Chair and is supported by a committee. The Empower Chair is responsible for creating partnership and collaboration opportunities with regional nonprofits, businesses, and other young professionals groups with the intention of bolstering EDGE’s involvement in the community. This position will collaborate with the Metro Chamber Foundation's workforce team on strategy and engagement.
Give/Philanthropy:
We are seeking one (1) person to lead our philanthropic efforts. This position’s responsibility is to identify and coordinate philanthropy and volunteer efforts for our Leadership Council and members. Additionally, they will be our liaison to Inspire Giving, the Metro Chamber Foundation’s philanthropic arm.
DIB:
We are seeking one (1) person to lead our diversity, inclusion, and belonging efforts. They will collaborate with other LC members to ensure Metro EDGE is an agent for positive change in light of institutionalized racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia and transphobia.

14.How many hours per month are you able to dedicate to Metro EDGE? On average, we expect LC members to dedicate 5-10 hours per month to service.
15.What level of flexibility do you have during the working weekdays (9am-5pm) for meetings and events?
16.The term of commitment for a Leadership Council member is a minimum of one (1) year. Are you able to serve the entire term?
17.Metro EDGE LC meetings are on the 1st Thursday of every month from 4-6pm (New time in 2023!). Are you able to attend these meetings?
