2017 MERIT Clinical Preceptors Sign-Up

Thank you for your interest in becoming a MERIT Clinical Preceptor for Summer 2017! MERIT is dedicated to eliminating health care disparities by transforming under-represented high school students into health care leaders through seven years of academic, professional, and social support. This summer, we will provide 35 MERIT Scholars (rising juniors from Baltimore City high schools) with five weeks of clinical shadowing experiences. These experiences are often life-changing for our Scholars and can ignite a long-term passion for pursuing careers in the health professions. All we ask of our clinical preceptors is to create a welcoming learning environment, as these are strictly shadowing experiences. There is NO ADDITIONAL TIME COMMITMENT outside of the shadowing periods. MERIT will take care of all compliance paperwork, HIPAA training, scheduling, etc for the Scholars.
