Knowing the difference that your volunteer programme makes to volunteers, service users and your organisation is crucial in today’s competitive environment. It can help to secure funding, recruit more volunteers and improve your services. Having strong data and examples will help your organisation to stand out from the crowd.

In this practical session, you’ll learn how to create an evaluation plan that will enable you to understand and demonstrate the difference your volunteer programme makes. We will look at what “making a difference” means (to whom and how), developing realistic and measurable outcomes for your volunteer programme, practical and user-friendly tools for gathering information, including digital tools and how to analyse and communicate the results of your impact assessment. The session is interactive, so you will also learn from what other organisations are doing.

This session is suitable for experienced Volunteer Managers as well as those who are new to managing volunteers.
Venue: Zoom. If you are allocated a place, you will be sent a Zoom link to access the training. Please ensure you have a stable internet connection and have downloaded the latest version of Zoom (https://zoom.us/download).

Priority will be given to voluntary sector organisations with a base/office in Tower Hamlets, or that have services aimed at Tower Hamlets residents.

Our training programme is funded by the City Bridge Foundation.
· The session is FREE to voluntary sector and public sector organisations with a base/office in Tower Hamlets, or that have services aimed in Tower Hamlets residents. However, there is a non-attendance charge of £50 and this charge will be invoiced to your organisation if you do not attend without giving 48 hours’ notice. There is no charge incurred if bookings are cancelled at least 48 hours prior to the start of the session.
· For any organisation without a base or services in Tower Hamlets, or private sector/commercial organisations, the session costs £50 per person. The fee is non-refundable, unless you give 48 hours’ notice of cancellation.
