As you know, the 117th Congress passed the American Rescue Plan Act in March of 2021. This legislation delivers $350 billion for eligible state, local, territorial, and Tribal governments to respond to the COVID-19 emergency and bring back jobs.

Allowable uses include:
  • Support public health expenditures
  • Address negative economic impacts caused by the public health emergency
  • Replace lost public sector revenue
  • Provide premium pay for essential workers
  • Invest in water, sewer, and broadband infrastructure
Since that time, several state, regional, and local jurisdictions have opened application and RFP processes to organizations with proposals meeting the US Department of the Treasury Guidance surrounding use of these funds.

In the interest of furthering collective impact efforts in the region and continuing response and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Backbone Team is reaching out to see whether your organization has applied for funds to support opportunities for coordination.

If you are willing or able to share information about your organization's ARPA funding application, please fill out our short questionnaire below!
