The Mountain Discovery Charter School's Strategic Planning Committee will use this parent feedback as a part of the strategic planning process to help us imagine what Mountain Discovery Charter School should focus on in the coming 5 years.

In order to consider the future, we need to understand the present – some things surely are better left unchanged, while other things might be subject to improvement.

Question Title

* 8. Now please think about the program growth you'd like to see (i.e., increased art and music instruction and/or foreign language instruction).  It is a financial reality that significantly expanded programming will require new revenue.  New revenue would likely require increasing our enrollment.  Would you be open to increasing class size or expanding to two classes in K-8 in order to expand our program offerings?

Question Title

Question Title

* 12. MDCS has expanded our extracurricular student activities to include things such as cross country and basketball.  What additional extracurricular activities would you like to see added to MDCS?

Question Title

* 13. The school’s educational approach is different, and includes lots of things like field trips, expeditionary learning, and projects. Do you see room for improvement here? And if so, how would you suggest changing the educational approach, methods or focus at MDCS?

Question Title

* 14. If money were not a barrier, what specifically do you think we should improve at MDCS?  Feel free to dream big and please give specifics:

Question Title

* 15. What do you think is the school’s present reputation in the community, particularly with people with no direct attachment to the school? In what ways do you think the school could improve upon its community reputation?
