In the case of exam deferment, a request of funding application deferment to the new exam cycle must be submitted to CFA Society Singapore. Your funding eligibility will be maintained if no change of your information to the following criteria:
- Registered for the CFA Program Level I exam for August 2026 or later
- Original Exam Registration completed on or after 27 October 2025
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident physically based in Singapore
- Not an employee attending a training programme as an instructor or facilitator, e.g. presenter, speaker or panellist; and not employees of IBF and MAS
The final confirmation for refund of funding will be determined after you meet all funding requirements below:
- Take CFA Program Level I exam at a test centre in Singapore and successfully record attendance via SingPass
- Pass the CFA Program Level I exam at the exam cycle confirmed for funding

Funding Application Deferment Process
- Submit a deferment request to CFA Institute in accordance with their exam deferment policy
- Submit this Funding Application Deferment request form
- Submit the exam deferment confirmation receipt together with the original exam registration receipt via email to CFA Society Singapore at cfa-ibf@cfasocietysingapore.org
Kindly note that the funding amount will be calculated based on the paid exam registration fee (before GST) reflected on the original registration receipt. Fees are converted using the prevailing MAS exchange rate of the exam registration date.
All submissions are to be completed
30 days before the newly registered exam cycle starts. Candidates who do not submit the above-mentioned documents and information within the submission period will not be considered for funding eligibility.
