The Mike Cahalane RISC Award is annually presented to an independent security consultant for their consultancy services, underscoring the positive impact independent security consultants can have on both the public and private sectors.

Although the award is primarily intended to showcase an individuals contributions and achievements within security and risk management, we do welcome team and/or organisational submissions.

Our mission is to enhance standards through education and exemplary practice. Entries should provide practical examples and guidance that others can leverage to attain this objective.

Important Dates:
Submission deadline for entries is 23:59 on the 7th September 2025.
Finalists will be notified of inclusion by the 19th September 2025.
Awards dinner and announcements follow CONSEC on the 23rd October 2025.
The primary objective of all ASC awards is to provide guidance for security practitioners through exemplars, best practices, and educational resources. To that end, submissions that can meet this goal will receive the highest scores. It is important to note that the size, complexity, or status of a project has no bearing on the goal of assisting ASC members in achieving their professional excellence.
