ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)
-Undergraduate degree or diploma in a health related field.
-Regulated health professional with current membership in good standing with respective college.
-Current BCLS,
-ACLS preferred
-Minimum of two years nursing or healthcare experience in a leadership role in an acute care
hospital setting. Must have at least one year experience in:
-Bed management patient flow experience
-Leadership and/or supervision of staff
-Satisfactory attendance

-Knowledge of Patient and Family-Centred Philosophy
-Knowledge of Patient Care Delivery Philosophy
-In-depth knowledge of wait time performance indicators
-Knowledge of patient flow, bed management and IPAC practices
-Working knowledge of computer applications including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bed Management applications
-Knowledge of relevant legal/regulatory guidelines and legislation
-Demonstrates strong participatory leadership, team building, and highly developed organizational skills
-Demonstrates critical thinking skills and ability to conceptualize and analyze problems, make critical decisions and work without supervision in a dynamic fashion in order to meet hospital needs
-Demonstrates effective abilities to apply oral/written communication skills, including demonstration of strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
-Demonstrated behaviors of CKHA core values in the application of Service Excellence and Patient and Family Centered Care philosophy.
-Demonstrated participation in building of a just culture of safety and partnering with each other to improve the safety of patient care processes and systems.
