Virtual Fair Trade Presentations

MCIC offers presentations designed to offer education opportunities about Fair Trade and its connection to international development, and Fair Trade designations.

MCIC’s Sustainability Specialist can work together with your office, team, organization, group, or class to develop a presentation on Fair Trade that meets your needs!

All presentations will be delivered online only until further notice due to COVID-19. MCIC is able to offer virtual presentations through either Microsoft Teams or Zoom.

Fair Trade 101 with MCIC:

This is a one-hour presentation about Fairtrade, Fair Trade, how fair trade is connected to social, environmental and economic justice, and how fair trade works toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Includes 12-minute impact video.

This is an informative session for those with beginner knowledge about fair trade and the SDGs, designed for young adults and adult audiences.

Fair Trade Trivia:

1- hour. This is a 60-question multiple-choice trivia game about fair trade. This game hosted by MCIC staff uses an online gaming platform that requires use of a cell phone with wireless internet access in addition to a computer with internet. No apps or downloads required. Correct answers are shown after every question, and players will leave with a lot of facts!

This game is suitable for young adults and adults who are familiar to very familiar with fair trade. Prizing available for a fee.

Fair Trade Workplaces:

30-Minutes: This presentation describes the requirements of a Fair Trade Workplace designation. This presentation will answer the questions: what is Fairtrade, what is a Fair Trade Workplace designation, what are the annual requirements of a Fair Trade Workplace, suggestions/ideas for Fair trade awareness events.

This session is useful when a Fair Trade Designated Workplace has new staff members, or if a workplace is considering applying for the Fair Trade Workplace designation.

Fair Trade Schools:

30-Minutes: This presentation describes the requirements of a Fair Trade School designation. This presentation will answer the questions: what is Fairtrade, what is a Fair Trade School designation, what are the annual requirements of a Fair Trade School, suggestions/ideas for Fair trade awareness events.

This session is useful when a Fair Trade Designated School has new staff and/or student committee members, or if a school is considering applying for the Fair Trade School designation.

Fairtrade Coffee - Responsible Consumption and Production:

30-Minutes: Video intro, producer stories, and discussion on some of the social human development, and environmental issues Fairtrade aims to tackle in the coffee supply chain.

This session is suitable for adults. Excellent for a staff meeting!

Fair Trade 400 with MCIC:

This is MCIC's customized fair trade deep-dive. We’d be pleased to work with you to develop a fair trade-focused presentation for the needs and interests of your office, group or classroom. Tell us what fair trade-related information you’re looking for!
