Background and purpose of this tool:

The MCH-Measurement Research Network (MCH-MRN) is an interdisciplinary, collaborative network of experts who represent the MCH lifespan and who are active in the measurement of health and wellbeing of MCH populations. The purpose of the MCH-MRN is to provide a sustainable, interdisciplinary platform to inspire, support, coordinate, and advance efforts related to MCH measurement, measurement innovation, and shared accountability to improve outcomes and systems performance on behalf of the nation’s children, youth, and families. The MCH-MRN is sponsored by the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) (UA6MC30375). The MCH-MRN's 2016-2019 cycle is led by the Child and Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative (CAHMI).

As one of its key foci, the MCH-MRN is responsible for setting a national strategic agenda for MCH measurement research.  The agenda seeks to leverage existing opportunities and addresses key gaps to ensure effective MCH measurement, and guide the development and harmonization of measures across initiatives. In doing so, the agenda will identify key priorities for research activities, funding, and capacity building. We are seeking input from Network members and MCH measurement stakeholders to inform this strategic agenda; additionally, this tool seeks to hear your thoughts on the MCH-MRN’s MCH measurement conceptual framework and how you’d like to participate in the MCH-MRN.

The tool should take about 30 minutes to complete. If you would prefer, the CAHMI team is happy to gather your input over the phone. Please contact Caitlin Murphy, Research Program Manager, at cmurphy@cahmi.org to schedule a time to provide your input.  We also encourage you to share this input tool with anyone you feel may be interested.

Thank you for participating! Your thoughts and expertise are truly appreciated.
