Award Catagories

HOPE Award
The HOPE Award recognizes and individual who:
  • has overcome tremendous odds in achieving recovery,
  • provides hope to others in their journey, and
  • brings insight for change in the brain health or substance use disorder community.
 
INNOVATION Award
The Innovation Award recognizes an individual who:
  • provides innovation leadership in the planning, funding, prevention and treatment of brain and substance use disorders in the community,
  • achieves positive results for the advancement of substance use  disorder recovery or brain health, and
  • engages others as successful team members.

EXEMPLARY PROGRAM Award
The Exemplary Program Award recognizes a program that:
  • operates in a manner consistent with the National Evidence-Based Practices and Programs (NREPP), and
  • demonstrates proven effectiveness in the local community promoting recovery from a brain disorder or substance use disorder.

ADVOCACY Award
The Advocacy Award recognizes an individual who:
  • effectively supports one or more individuals experiencing a brain disorder or substance use disorder in obtaining appropriate services in a timely fashion, and/or
  • advocates with governmental officials for legislation and/or rules that enhance access and effectiveness of brain health or substance use disorder services.
