US tariffs and drug supply: 5-question survey for Canadian pharmacists and pharmacy teams

Proposed US tariffs on pharmaceutical products could pose serious risks to Canada’s drug supply—potentially leading to shortages that impact both pharmacies and patients. We know from the COVID experience that shortages can take several months to make their way to pharmacy shelves.

CPhA is working with the federal government and other stakeholders in the supply chain to monitor early warning signs of supply disruption and help develop strategies to reduce their impact. To inform this work, we are launching a monthly survey to gather input from pharmacy teams across the country.

Your past feedback has been incredibly valuable. We’ve shared your experiences with Health Canada, who have expressed their appreciation, and it’s helped us create practical tools like our drug alternatives tables to support you during shortages.

Take a moment to complete this 2-minute survey and help shape Canada’s response to this growing threat. Your insights directly support your patients, your profession and your peers.
