Survey on Four-day School Weeks
We understand that there is a strong interest in alternative school calendars, especially the four-day school week. The primary positive outcome stated is that it helps rural schools with hiring and retaining educators but we're curious to know if there is a broader appeal. We understand that TEA intends to study this issue and that there may be related legislation in the upcoming session. We would like to collect data that informs whether the four-day school week (or other alternative school calendars) has a positive impact on hiring and retaining educators and does not have a negative impact on student learning.
Please forward this survey to as many people as you see fit. We would like to get as much stakeholder input as possible. Thank you for taking the time to take this brief survey.
