Purpose:
The Immunization Skills Institute (ISI) is an immunization training tailored for medical assistants (MA), pharmacists, licensed vocational nurses (LVN), or anyone who provides immunizations. This four-hour training combines lecture, video, and mentored practice sessions, to increase competency in safe, effective, and caring immunization techniques.
Goals
:
To promote a safe, effective, and caring immunization delivery system
To recognize and support the important role of the MA in immunization delivery
To improve immunization practices through competency-based self-assessment and performance-based evaluation
Learning Objectives:
After this training, participants will be able to demonstrate the following:

2. Vaccine storage & handling
3. Vaccine preparation
4. Vaccine administration and after care
5. Immunization documentation
