Welcome to EM Wellness Summit Group Quality-of-Work-Life Survey

Dear Emergency Medicine Physicians -

The Emergency Medicine Physician Wellness Summit Group is pleased to provide you with “The Emergency Medicine Quality-of-Work-Life Survey.”  Our goal is to shift the discussion from identifying burnout to identifying and sharing positive practical solutions.

This survey has the dual purpose of collecting information about current practices that improve the quality-of-life at work for Attending Emergency Medicine Physicians as well as disseminating ideas that can be implemented at every institution. To this end, we have created an anonymous and voluntary survey for all Emergency Medicine Physicians within the US and around the world.

The survey is easy to answer, but will require 10-12 minutes to complete.  We hope you will participate in this survey as it will undoubtedly provide new information for our entire community, push our agenda for progressive and positive change and hopefully be of use for you within your department.  As many of you are members of multiple organizations, you may receive this survey multiple times - please only complete the survey once.

The survey results will also be used for research purposes and eventually shared. It has been declared exempt by the Institutional Review Board of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.  Primary Investigators for this study are Daniel Lakoff, MD FACEP (daniel.lakoff@gmail.com)  and Arlene Chung, MD MACM (arlene.chung@gmail.com) and can be contacted for additional information.
