Help us clean Mathews roadways for the spring! Pick up our neighborhoods and roadways. The cleanup is scheduled for Saturday April 13, 8 AM to noon, starting at the Mathews County Visitor & Information Center, located at 239 Main Street.
General guidelines:
- The Mathews Visitor Center provides to-go snacks, all equipment, and route recommendations, plus a post event pizza party!

- All groups must be accompanied by an adult. You are responsible for your own transportation.
- Pick your own route, or do your Adopt-a-Highway road, or we will have a list of roads for you.
- Keep track of how many bags are collected, and leave them on the side of the highway, out of the way of pedestrian and road traffic.
- What to wear: long pants, waterproof boots, long sleeves, gloves.
- What we supply: Gloves, Bags, Vests, Grabbers, Nets

Return Equipment by Noon, and you must report your work to the Mathews
Visitor Center.
