The Missouri Office of Administration launched MoBroadbandNow in 2009. This five-year initiative seeks to expand broadband accessibility to 95 percent of the total population, a significant increase from the current projected accessibility of 79.7 percent.

In order to do that, we are engaging in an effort to identify broadband needs at the local level. Today, we simply want to find out the attitudes, opinions, needs and interests of stakeholders involved with economic development. The thoughts of this group will be shared with the Mid-MO Regional Technology Planning Team (RTPT) tasked with considering ways, and crafting a strategic plan, to create broadband opportunities and address the needs of our region.
