We Need Your Help!

At the direction of the Ferris ISD Board of Trustees, the District is forming a Long Range Facilities Committee.  The purpose of the Committee will be to study current and future facilities needs. Ferris ISD can expect over 1000 New Homes built within the next 5 Years which increase our student population to 3000 by 26/27 & 3500 students by 29/30.  These homes and students will greatly impact the capacity of current facilities. This Committee will be gathering feedback from the community at large, and your input will be greatly appreciated.

The Committee's charge will be to do the following:
  • Evaluate the use, capacity and condition of existing district facilities
  • Become educated regarding school construction finance
  • Identify the most pressing needs facing Ferris ISD relative to facilities and technology
  • Discuss and develop facility improvement and expansion plans to meet the identified needs
  • Evaluate the financial impact of funding for capital improvement projects
  • Engage the community in dialogue regarding long-range facilities and capital improvement needs in support of the district's strategic plan
  • Assist district-wide community outreach efforts to increase public awareness of the facilities planning process, capital improvement plans and proposed bond programs
