Hopewell Township, Cumberland County Hazard Mitigation Plan Citizen Survey

This questionnaire is designed to gauge the level of knowledge local citizens have about issues related to natural disasters. The information you provide will help coordinate activities to reduce the risk of injury or property damage in the future.

A planning partnership of county, municipalities, agencies, and stakeholders is currently updating a Hazard Mitigation Plan to address natural hazards in Cumberland County. In order to identify and plan for future natural disasters, we need assistance from the residents of Cumberland County.

The survey will take less than 15 minutes to complete. It consists of 10 questions designed to help identify risks from and preferred methods to plan for natural disasters in your communities.

The term "mitigation" means to make less harsh or severe. Hazard mitigation activities are actions that can be taken to protect people and property from natural hazard events such as flood, severe storms, and excessive temperatures.
