Clinks Research project: Engagement with the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) |
1. Introduction
Clinks is undertaking research in the London Boroughs of Brent, Hackney, Lambeth, Lewisham, Newham, Southwark and Tower Hamlets to identify the range of work VCS organisations undertake with offenders and what the local arrangements are for commissioning such services.
The research aims to capture a sense of:
• the structures and processes within which VCS organisations carry out this work,
• the strategic role of local authorities play in reducing re-offending
• key barriers to engagement and examples of good practice.
The overall aim is to help assess and develop the effectiveness of the relationships between local authorities, strategic partners and voluntary and community sector organisations.
If your organisation provides services in any of these London Boroughs we would be grateful if you could complete the attached brief survey and return completed forms by e mail to mike.stewart@cesi.org.uk
If you need any further information or clarification please contact the lead Inclusion researcher Mike Stewart on 07802 321506,
