There are currently five (5) two (2) year term opportunities available:
- One (1) Director – Non Public Sector Member
- One (1) Director – Indigenous Public/Community Representative Member
- Three (3) Regional Directors:
- One (1) Regional Director – Public Sector Member - Territories (Yukon, NWT, Nunavut)
- One (1) Regional Director – Public Sector Member - West (BC, Alberta)
- One (1) Regional Director – Public Sector Member - East (NS, N&L, NB, PEI
There is currently one (1), one (1) year term opportunity available through a by-election to fill a vacated board seat:
- One (1) Director – Non Public Sector Member
To be considered as a candidate for the CNAM Board of Directors, the following prerequisites and competencies are required:
- CNAM Member in good standing (any member category except student)
- Demonstrated leadership in the practice of asset management
- Previous board experience, or other related strategic management experience
- Ability to commit 8 – 10 hours a month for Board and Committee meetings as well as Board activities
- The Board meets by conference call monthly for 2 hours as well as three in-person meetings per year (two at the annual conference and one two-day strategic planning session)
- Support of your employer (including financial support) to attend the annual conference and the Board’s annual two-day strategic planning session late Fall
- Written support must be obtained before the voting closes
- Be available for post-2023 conference board meeting (May 4, 2023)
