Welcome!

Safe States Alliance's mentorship program is for students/recent graduates and injury and violence prevention (IVP) professionals in all stages of their career (early, mid and late) who are members of Safe States Alliance.

Mentors participating in the program have an opportunity to share their experiences in working in the IVP field and provide guidance to mentees in their studies and career. Some mentorship qualities can include: being part of a larger network and having the ability to connect mentees to others in IVP, being open and transparent, and having availability and flexibility in working with their mentee.

Mentees participating in this program will benefit from personalized engagement around leadership, professional development, navigating IVP careers, and emerging issues in IVP.

Please complete the survey questions so that pairs can be matched accurately based on programmatic interests, career goals, experience in IVP and location. The initial mentorship will run for a period of six months with support from Safe States. Once matched, mentor and mentee pairs will receive guidance and details to assist in implementation.

Thank you for your interest. We are excited to have you take part in this program!
