2017 CASSP Region 5a Director Election Summary
2017 CASSP Region 5a Director Election Summary
The CASSP Board of Directors sets the course and activities for our department and helps to connect what’s happening in the field to the work that CASE does on a daily basis. Board members gain a unique perspective on the issues and challenges facing their colleagues in other districts. They also have the chance to hear directly from CASE about the work of the association and to weigh in on those priorities. The responsibilities of the CASSP Board include (1) setting a direction for the department, (2) adopting the annual CASSP budget, (3) approving and administering the affairs and activities of CASSP, (4) approving committee appointments, and (5) overseeing all programs sponsored by the department.
GET INVOLVED! Members of the CASSP Board of Directors build valuable relationships with secondary school administrators from across the state. They share best practices, strategize together, and better understand issues from a statewide perspective. Board members attend four (4) meetings per year. Lunch or dinner is served, and mileage expense is reimbursed.
