About the Project

On August 22, 23, and 24 Main Street Skowhegan hosted a series of public meetings where community members shared ideas, challenges, and feedback for redeveloping the riverfront space between the Old Mill Pub (39 Water Street) and the Skowhegan Municipal Building (225 Water Street). Design firm Principle Group listened to community feedback from residents and business owners, toured the area, and assessed the results of a visual preference survey, where attendees had the opportunity to tell the team what they liked and didn't like about different designs from around the world. Then the design team went to work.
