* 5. In 26 states across the country, citizens can sign a petition to put a law or a state constitutional amendment on the ballot to be decided by the voters at a statewide election. The process is known as initiative and referendum. Would you favor or oppose the initiative and referendum process for NH?

* 6. One voting system innovation is ranked choice voting which gives voters the choice of ranking candidates on the ballot in order of preference. If voters want to choose just one candidate, they can. A candidate who wins a majority of first-choice votes would win. If there is no majority winner, the last place candidate would be eliminated and any voter who had that candidate as their top choice would have their vote transferred to their next choice. This process would repeat until a candidate wins a majority of votes and wins the election. Would you favor or oppose a ranked choice voting system for NH?

* 7. Right now, a NH Voter has to have a reason why they cannot vote at a poll in order to receive an absentee ballot by mail. Would you favor a program in NH that gives every voter the opportunity to vote by mail?

* 8. Redistricting is the process of creating the election lines for every district every ten years after the census. Instead of the legislature drawing the district lines, there is a bill in the NH legislature to create an independent redistricting commission for the state that would redraw our district lines every 10 years. The commission would be required to hold hearings and hold all their meetings in public. Do you favor the creation of an independent redistricting commission?

* 9. New Hampshire has an open primary system where voters can choose the party primary they want to participate in. There are several other primary systems in use in the US. One is a closed primary, where only registered party members can vote and independents are excluded. Another system is a Top Two nonpartisan primary. In a top two nonpartisan system, there is one public primary and all the candidates for an office appear on one ballot and all voters receive the same ballot. The top two vote getters go on to the general election. Of these three systems, which one do you think is most fair to the voter:
